Stylus System Changer

A single stylus tip or a fixed combination of stylus tips often does not allow the CMM to access all of the features on the part. This is why the option of stylus system change has been created.
In most cases, a calibration process is required after each change. Stylus system changers allow the change to be integrated in the automatic measuring run.

The stylus change makes it possible to avoid complicated stylus configurations. The qualified styli are stored in a tool rack from which the coordinate measuring machine picks up the stylus itself. During a stylus change, the styli are fixed in the same position, making a requalification of the styli unnecessary.
